In
Bogmolo, the Oberois manage a property built by Trade Wings. The building is
right on the sea. As the waves lash the parapets of the open-air restaurant,
the drone of the restless Arabian Sea lulls to sleep even the most
insomniac. Beyond are mysterious little islands, shipwrecks in the silt and,
around the hotel, plenty of pleasant eateries-each one of them claiming to
be Osibisa's favorite. That pardonable selling trick began about 10 years
ago when the Oberoi hosted the group. The sandy beach at the end of the cove
would be even more picturesque were it not for the monstrous multi-storey
edifice perched above it. Pricey café-bars blaring Western music have
crept up the beach, while the clearing below the hotel is prowled by
assiduous Kashmiri handicraft vendors. Even so, compared with Calangute Or
Colva, Bogmolo is still a small-scale resort. As long as one hasn't come to
Goa to get away from it all or party all night, then one'll find Bogmalo
congenial enough.
The beach is clean and not too crowded, the water
reasonably safe for swimming, and there are plenty of places to eat, drink
and shop. If, on the other hand, one is looking for somewhere not yet, on
the package tourist map, one'll be better off further south, at the far end
of Colva Beach or beyond. Bogmolo is just another small fishing village,
surrounded by a pair of palm fringed headlands at the northern end of Colva
bay. The presence of the sandy beach at the end of the cove makes it even
more picturesque and breathtaking. Bogmolo Beach is an ideal clean and not
too crowded, the water reasonably safe for swimming, and plenty of places to
eat, drink and shop at. The Bogmalo Oberoi hotel is situated on this

with a tiny-whitewashed Chapel and gangs of hogs nosing through the rubbish,
but its environs have been transformed. Pricey café-bars blaring
Western music have crept up the beach, while the clearing below the hotel is
prowled by assiduous Kashmiri handicraft vendors.

of Bogmolo BeachGoa has a consistent climate through the year with
just meager fluctuations in the temperature. December and January might
require light woolens. April and May are warm. The period from June to
October brings heavy rain, almost up to 400 cm. The temperature during the
summers ranges from 24°C to 32.7°C and during the winters it
ranges from 21.3°C to 32.2°C.
